Birmingham has certainly come of age in terms of grabbing a bite to eat, with everything from pop-up restaurants and street food stalls to funky cafes and high-end restaurants now making up the city’s culinary offering.
But now we’re getting what can only be described as a foodie quarter. If you wander around the triangle of Waterloo Street, Temple Street and Colmore Row, you’ll notice a definite shift in the direction of food, with a fast developing scene of restaurants and bars turning what were formerly fairly quiet and corporate locations into ones that hum with the satisfaction of happy diners.
Over the next couple of months we’ll be talking to a number of the venues to give you the inside scoop on what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. But don’t wait for us; get yourself down to this part of Brum and start tasting it for yourself.
